58th national film awards 2011


                                  The 58th National Awards were announced by filmmaker J P Dutta, chairman of the jury, in New Delhi .
Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg picked up an award for wholesome entertainment. The Best Feature Film (Hindi) went to Rishi Kapoor-starrer Do Dooni Char.
Best Actor award was shared by Rajnikanth's  son-in-law Dhanush (Aadukalam, Tamil) and Salim Kumar (Adaminte Makan Abu, Malayalam).
Adaminte Makan Abu also bagged the Best Film award.
The Best Actress award was shared by Mitalee Jagtap (Baboo Band Baja, Marathi) and Saranya (Thenmerku Paruvakkaatru, Tamil)
The Supporting Actor award went to Ramiyah Thampi (Mynaa, Tamil). The Supporting Actress award went to Sukumari (Nammagramam, Tamil)
The Best Music Director award went to Vishal Bhardwaj  (Ishqiya. Wife Rekha  Bhardwaj bagged the Best Playback Singer (Female) for Ishqiya as well. Ishqiya also bagged the Best Audiography award for Kamod Karade.
Suresh Wadkar bagged the Best Playback (Male) award for Baboo Band Baja (Marathi). Baboo Band Baja also bagged the Best Debut Director film (Rajesh Pinjani).
Best Screenplay (Original) went to Vetrimaran.
The Best Cinamatography award went to Madhu Ambat (Adaminte Makan Abu, Malayalam)
Tamil film Enthiran bagged two awards for Speciall Effects and Best Production Design.

The Best Marathi Film went to Mana Ayi Vacha, Best English Film went to Memories in March and Best Kannada Film went to Putukarna Highway.

The Best Children's Film went to Hejjegalu (Kannada).
Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration went to Bengali film Moner Manush. The Special Jury award went to Marathi film Mee Sindhutai Sakpal.
